Trolley Corps
Volunteers play an integral role in the Museum's daily operations and special events. From working in collections and archives to welcoming guests at festivals and events, volunteers provide essential support to PTM's mission.
Working Committee
General planning and forecasting future operations. Meets Thursdays at 7:00pm

Education Assistant
Assist the education department with administrative functions, art activities, science projects, school tours and more.
Merchandise Sales Clerk
Assist in retail operations specializing in tee shirts and railroad gear. Must enjoy working with the public! Experience is helpful, but not necessary.
Docents for Public Programs
Assist with hospitality, guest relations, and more. This is a wonderful opportunity for friendly, out-going individuals to interact with Museum patrons from all over the world. Bilingual volunteers are a plus.
Special Event Volunteer
Only have a few hours? Have a large corporate or organizational group? We have many events and clean-ups throughout the year to volunteer for!
Publications Technician
Update databases, process publication orders, and assist with mailings.

Maintenance Technician
Help maintain the Museum building and grounds. The vibrant urban setting requires regular and careful attention so that it remains inviting and accessible to guests, particularly from October through May.
Library and Archives Clerk
Volunteer support in the care and use of our extensive resource collection allows PTM to increase public research hours in the Larry Fleming Library.
Woodworking / Finishing / Restoration Craftsperson
We have significant restoration projects – help restore our trolleys!
We are looking for men and women with woodworking and painting/finishing experience, who enjoy working with others on significant projects and who have an attention to detail. We’ll happily teach you about railcar restoration and help you develop the needed skills. We’d love to hear from enthusiastic, hard-working, train fanatics who love nothing more than bringing these great pieces of history back to life.
Exhibit Technician
To help ensure that the Museum remains an engaging destination, volunteers assist with installation, maintenance and general upkeep of displays and exhibits.
